• Set a clear environmental goal for the project
• Identify the design and construction cost impacts for achieving certification
• Weight cost benefits of green design
• Value-engineer the project, including evaluating green investments over the life of the building
• Conduct design and strategy charrettes
• Implement tools and systems to manage the LEED process
• Procure services of a commissioning agent
• Perform project registration with USGBC

• Guide project teams through the LEED design process
• Manage all members of the green team's efforts
• Assemble and submit documentation for the design stage submittal
• Confirm commissioning tasks are completed

• Confirm commissioning tasks are completed and documented
• Confirm construction phase documentation is completed
• Process credit appeals, if necessary
